The larger-than-life Tankard family makes their bold return to Bravo Media in season three of Thicker Than Water, airing Sunday, March 27th at 10PM ET/PT. Led by preacher-patriarch-gospel-jazz-icon, Ben Tankard, and his lovely wife, Jewel, Team Tankard tackles the twists and turns of love, family, entrepreneurship, and the changing seasons of life.
In season three, Ben returns to the show a whopping 40 pounds lighter, as he and Jewel prepare to navigate the strange reality called “empty nesters” at the Tankard Palace. Tempers will flare as deep emotional wounds mainly between Ben and eldest daughter, Brooklyn, are faced head on. Preparing for a new chapter in her life, Jewel, the savvy businesswoman, author, and evangelist, launches on her own nationally syndicated television talk show, while trying to reconnect with daughter, Cyrene, who entered college as a mild freshman, but reemerged as a certified wild child. Meanwhile, Britney, healthier than ever, embarks on a journey to make her dreams of motherhood come true, while Benji and Shanira eagerly await the arrival of their first child. Marcus plans to expand his ministry into Nashville but can’t hide his frustration with his family’s adamant criticism of his wife’s parenting skills. From an eye-opening girls trip to Jewel’s hometown of Detroit, to a traumatizing secret haunting Cyrene, it’s a season of breakthrough and transformation that forces the Tankards to embrace each other and move forward to a place of joy and love.
