An Unconventional Way to Spread the Gospel
Swedish church Livets Ord (Word of Life) announced plans to spread the Word of God and the love of Jesus Christ to ISIS-controlled areas by using drones. According to reports by SVT, drones will be filled with thousands of Bibles no larger than a pill box. The Bibles will have a display, but do not require any electricity or the use of computers. Bible drops begin as early as this fall, managed by an undisclosed organization based in the area.
Founded in 1983 by Ulf and Birgitta Ekman with only 20 members, Word of Life’s mission is to “go, and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19-20). Currently, the church has a membership of over 3,000, with multiple branches around the world. According to senior pastor, Joakim Lundqvist, “We are all about missions and reaching the corners of the world with the Gospel, but just as much about reaching the corner closest to home with that amazing and unfailing love of God.”

Team, what are your thoughts? Do you support the strategy of smuggling Bibles to remote areas of the world who may not have heard the Gospel message?
